Who we are
ALTHO, a family business specializing in potato chips!
The company is historically located in the heart of Brittany, with its rich agricultural basin, and specifically in the cultivation of vegetables and potatoes. A true economic player in the region, ALTHO employs over 450 people year-round, and up to 600 in high season.
Structured as an SME, our team is characterized by its dynamism, involvement, responsiveness and constant desire to satisfy its customers.
Beyond the team, the entire local economy is organized around ALTHO, through the agricultural partnership bringing together more than 250 farmers in the region and no less than 200 Breton companies (suppliers or service providers) who work with us every year.
Today, our SME is a real economic force in the heart of Brittany.
We now have 3 production sites in France (Saint-Gérand-Croixanvec in Brittany, Le Pouzin in Ardèche and Hourtin in Gironde) and 1 in Portugal (SIA in Tentugal).

ALTHO inaugure son deuxième site de production au Pouzin, en Ardèche. Cette implantation stratégique renforce sa capacité de production et sa présence sur le marché, tout en affirmant son engagement en faveur de l’innovation et de la qualité.

ALTHO se met au vert
Construction d'un méthaniseur qui permet la production gaz vert, équivalent à 34% de nos besoins en gaz
Création de la ligne chips de légumes à Saint-Gérand
Augmentation de notre production
Installation d’une deuxième ligne de production sur le site du Pouzin.
Innovation produit
À Saint-Gérand, création de l’ atelier sarrasin permettant la fabrication de chips à base de galette de sarrasin en partenariat avec un crêpier Breton

Created by Alain GLON in 1995, the company is now part of the AGH (Alain Glon Holding) holding company. This 100% family shareholding enables the company to maintain its financial independence, a long-term vision and, above all, the ability to invest over the long term.
Growing and exponential development
The success of the BRETS brand allows the company to look to the future. So, to meet the growing demand from our customers, a new plant, located opposite our historic Saint-Gérand site, will see the light of day in 2026.
This new, modern, automated production site will enable the company to increase its production capacity to meet demand for its BRETS brand, and to look forward with confidence to opening new contracts for our customers seeking chips for their private labels.
