Our commitments
Because a good potato chip starts with a good potato!
Since the 18th century, Brittany has established itself as “THE” specialist in potato cultivation. Thanks to a climate offering regular rainfall, potatoes grow in ideal conditions, giving them inimitable quality and taste. Since the plant was set up in 1995, ALTHO has developed a partnership with an ever-growing number of French farmers.
The potato chips come from specific varieties such as Lady Claire and Lady Rosetta.
Well-rounded, calibrated and flawless, they produce beautiful petals. Ideal for quality potato chips!

A sustainable potato industry!

ALTHO works hand in hand with nearly 350 farmers, the majority of whom are located in Brittany, less than 170 km from the production site, to keep transport to a minimum.
By making a long-term commitment to its partner farmers, ALTHO secures supplies, offers stable contract prices per harvest, and provides advice on cultivation practices as well as turnkey tools (seedlings, sowing, treatments, irrigation, harvesting).

Finally, thanks to precise specifications, Altho is able to control potato storage for optimum preservation between harvest (autumn) and consumption (spring).
The Breton company thus has complete control over the traceability of its products.
Quality made easy!
Potatoes, sunflower oil, Guérande salt, aromatic seasonings and that’s it!
Our vocation is to offer you the right, authentic and natural flavors. To achieve this, we control our production cycle from A to Z. From the choice of potato variety to the final cooking stage, we offer you total transparency on product design and quality.

A highly committed CSR approach!
For many years now, ALTHO has made the environment and society a central concern.
With a view to combining sustainable development with economic competitiveness, the company has never ceased to devise ever more innovative solutions.
Today, the actions taken are bearing fruit, and this is just the beginning…
Thanks to a methanization system, the company produces the equivalent of 34% of its green gas requirements.
The company has reduced its water consumption by almost 30% over the last 3 years, thanks to a filtration and reuse system.
We are proud to have reduced our CO2 emissions by 26% since 2007.
We recycle almost all our waste (peelings and cuttings, potato chips, cardboard, plastic and wood packaging, paper, etc.).
